Join us for a taste of wine and art. Each month The Shop at Belle Meade Plantation features works by a contemporary regional artist. This October we will feature the work of Nashville potter Roy Overcast. Over the last 40 years, Roy has produced both sculptural land utilitarian, including designing and producing a line of pottery for Cracker Barrel Old Country Store, Bloomingdales ,American Folk Art Museum and Opryland U.S.A. Roy’s works can be found in may international collections including the Tennessee State Museum and Standard Oil Company. He is an honorary member of the Tennessee Artists and Craftsman’s Association.
The artists featured at the Shop at Belle Meade Plantation donate fifty percent of proceeds to the preservation of Belle Meade Plantation, a non-profit Chapter of the Association of the Preservation of Tennessee Antiquities. Opening receptions are held the first Thursday of each month 5:30-7:30 p.m. and feature wines from West Meade Wine and Liquor Mart located at 5402 Harding Pike, Nashville, TN 37205 (615-352-3001). West Meade Liquor Mart offers 10% off any wine featured at our opening receptions whenever you mention Belle Meade Plantation’s opening receptions.
